What we can do for you
Projects
We help clients to get projects off the ground by:
- Giving advice on tenders
- Recommending, drafting and negotiating appropriate forms of building contract (standard form and bespoke) for specific projects
- Advising on the construction aspects of agreements for lease, development agreements and funding agreements
- Drafting and commenting upon consultants' appointments, novation agreements, collateral warranties, building licences, parent company guarantees and bonds
- The co-ordination of project documentation
ADR and Dispute Resolution
The Construction Team acts for a broad range of clients, including nationally recognised house builders, property developers and private individuals. We represent our clients in a variety of different disputes at all levels, including:
- Mediation
- Expert determination
- Arbitration
- Adjudication
- Litigation
Current trends in construction disputes, particularly in the light of recent court decisions, require parties in dispute to consider mediation. The Construction Team has a wealth of experience in this area and appreciates that, where appropriate, most clients prefer to resolve disputes by mediation rather than by going to court.
Contamination - Environmental Protection Act
We can advise clients on all aspects of brownfield and greenfield development, including prosecutions under the Environmental Protection Act and related legislation.
