MUNDAYS, the Surrey Solicitors, are pleased to announce the merger of Mundays and Squire & Barker Solicitors previously of Chertsey. The merged practice will be known as Mundays, and will operate from Cedar House in Cobham.

Squire & Barker Partners, David Squire and Victor Barker will join the Mundays Property Department on January 2nd 2004 where they will, together with all the existing Mundays property team, assist in the continued development of the department. David has for many years specialised in residential property development and Victor general commercial property and residential conveyancing.

As a result of this merger Mundays Property Department will comprise 9 Partners and 9 Solicitors, making it one of the largest property practices in the South East with particular strengths in the commercial and residential development sectors.

David Squire said he is "proud and flattered to be invited to join such a strong property team and have the full support of my existing clients in making the move".

Simon Withers, Head of Property, said "the merger will bring a substantial following to the Practice and be of particular importance as we continue to build on the successes already achieved. This is an excellent opportunity, and one which will complement the work that all fee earners currently handle".

David James, Chairman of Octagon Developments Limited, said " Octagon have worked with both firms since our formation in 1980 and we are delighted that the merger will bring both practices under one roof. We see this as a considerable benefit to us from the combined skills now available".

The merger marks another milestone in Mundays growth as a major property practice, with notable corporate and commercial expertise together with a full range of private client services, including family, private wealth and employment.
