Mundays Advise Amdipharm AG - May 2004

 

MUNDAYS, the Surrey Solicitors recently advised AMDIPHARM AG on its acquisition of the rights from F.Hoffman-La Roche Ltd to market NeoMercazole (carbimazole) internationally.

Under the terms of this agreement, Amdipharm paid Roche an undisclosed amount in one cash payment. Upon transfer of the product registrations, Amdipharm will begin direct marketing of NeoMercazole in over 30 territories.

NeoMercazole is an anti-thyroid brand indicated for hyperthyroidism and it is the market leader in the UK by volume.

Amdipharm is a young ambitious niche pharmaceutical company and is part of the highly successful Waymade Healthcare Plc group of companies. By the end of 2004, Amdipharm will have launched two new chemical entities into the UK market, supported by both an established hospital sales force and a newly created primary care sales force. Having also obtained the marketing rights to a number of brands for the UK, European, Middle and Far East territories Amdipharm looks forward to a highly successful period of growth for the future.
