Mundays - On Their Bikes

Larry Leporte and Charlotte East of Mundays Solicitors completed the Etape du Tour on Monday 16th July 2007.   This is an actual stage of the Tour de France that is selected by the Tour organisers for a sportive ride.  This year it was Stage 15, which consisted of 196km of cycling in the Pyrenees.

The Stage started in Foix and finished in Loudenville.  It was a hot day in the mountains and the climbs were unrelenting.  There were five classified ascents featuring more than 50 km of climbing.

Charlotte finished in 10hrs 27mins and placed 18th in her age group.

Larry said, "It was tough, but it was a real privilege to be able to ride this stage.  The Col de Menthe and Peyresourde are famous climbs.  The Port de Bales is new to the tour, but offered a fairly brutal 19km of climbing.  Anyone who loves cycling would love this route, but after more then 10 hours in the saddle I was just happy to finish".

Larry is a partner in the corporate department of firm and Charlotte is a legal executive in the property department.
